The Manager, Human Resources (HR) demonstrates a growing understanding of relevant HR issues and serves as an independent, self-driven HR professional while collaborating with other HR team members. The Manager, HR supports the team's commitment to partnering with management on HR-related issues, acting as an employee champion and change agent, and serves as a liaison between the VP, HR, HRBPs, and specialized HR teams.

Responsibilities

  • Demonstrates leadership of special projects and various initiatives as assigned by the VP, HR / HRBP teams.
  • Handles full life-cycle employee relations cases as assigned by the VP, HR.
  • Partners with HRBPs to ensure issues are dealt with efficiently and effectively.
  • Coordinates and gathers necessary information from the business and employees for review and decision in collaboration with HRBPs.
  • Maintains a strong working relationship with specialized HR teams and collaborates on projects and initiatives.
  • Manages wide-ranging HR projects, including maintenance of the employee handbook.
  • Maintains awareness of new practices and relevant metrics in the HR field and pharmaceutical industry.
  • Responds to inquiries from employees and managers and researches information as needed.
  • Manages the development of an HR Dashboard capturing all HR metrics for the department.
  • Provides backup support to HR Coordinator ensuring critical day-to-day tasks related to New Hires are completed.
  • Supports the pre/post-employment processes and delivers New Hire Orientation.
  • Works on ad hoc, confidential projects for Dept. Head / HR team.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resource Management, Business or a related area.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in Human Resources.
  • Excellent written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Capable of deftly handling sensitive HR matters.
  • Widely recognized as a trusted adviser demonstrating sound judgement and personal integrity.
  • Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality.
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills.
  • Strong work ethic and initiative with flexibility to work extended hours.
  • Ability to deliver effective results and meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Highly responsive and customer service oriented.
  • Facility for working with data and creating meaningful reports.
  • Good computer skills: familiarity with HR systems and intermediate Word and Excel skills.
  • Required to travel if needed up to 5-10%.
