About the position

As an Engineering Manager for the Database Monitoring team at Datadog, you will lead the development of a groundbreaking product designed to automatically identify database issues for customers. This role involves driving team direction and culture while overseeing backend and Agent development using Go and Python. The position emphasizes collaboration and creativity within a hybrid workplace, allowing for a balanced work-life harmony.

Responsibilities

• Launch a greenfield product for database analytics powered by logs, traces, and metrics
• Launch features to detect problems and take automated actions (e.g. terminate a query)
• Launch support for monitoring MongoDB query performance
• Enable fast growth with 1-click installation of the DBM Agent

Requirements

• Experience managing a team of 4+ engineers
• Experience managing Senior and Staff engineers
• Hands-on database experience as an IC engineer working with relational or non-relational database technologies
• Product-oriented mindset driven by delivering great products that delight users
