About the position

The Manager I GBD Special Programs at Elevance Health is responsible for overseeing a team that coordinates a comprehensive healthcare program addressing the needs of members, including physical health, behavioral health, and social services. This hybrid role requires collaboration with case managers and involves travel within the region to visit members. The position focuses on resource utilization, service delivery coordination, program evaluation, staff training, and performance management.

Responsibilities

• Manage and oversee a team responsible for coordinating a comprehensive healthcare program.
• Ensure appropriate delivery of care to members and adequate coverage for all tasks and job responsibilities.
• Coordinate service delivery, including member assessments of physical and psychological factors.
• Participate in cross-functional workgroups to maintain and develop programs.
• Evaluate current processes of Special Program's support functions and recommend changes for increased efficiencies and improved outcomes.
• Develop and conduct training programs for staff involved in the program.
• Extract and manipulate analytical data to present findings to relevant markets and stakeholders.
• Hire, train, coach, counsel, and evaluate performance of direct reports.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree (BA/BS) and a minimum of 5 years experience in a related field, or equivalent education and experience.
• Minimum of 1 year leadership/management experience.

Nice-to-haves

• Current, unrestricted license such as LCSW, LMSW, LPC, or RN license issued by the state of Florida.
• Service delivery coordination, discharge planning, or behavioral health experience in a managed care setting.
• Bilingual English-Spanish skills.
• Experience working with the Medicaid population.
• LTSS or managed care organization experience.
