About the position

This position is responsible for managing and overseeing a team that coordinates a comprehensive health care program, addressing the needs of members in areas such as physical health, behavioral health, and social services. The role involves resource management, service delivery coordination, process evaluation, training development, and performance evaluation of direct reports.

Responsibilities

  • Manages resource utilization to ensure appropriate delivery of care to members, adequate coverage for all tasks and job responsibilities.
  • Coordinates service delivery to include member assessment of physical and psychological factors.
  • Participates in cross-functional workgroups created to maintain and develop the program.
  • Evaluates current processes of Special Program's support functions; recommends changes for increased efficiencies and improved outcomes.
  • Develops and conducts training programs for staff involved in the program.
  • Extracts and manipulates analytical data to present findings to relevant markets and stakeholders.
  • Hires, trains, coaches, counsels, and evaluates performance of direct reports.

Requirements

  • Requires a BA/BS and minimum of 5 years experience in a related field; or any combination of education and experience, which would provide an equivalent background.
  • A minimum of 1 year leadership/management experience is required.

Nice-to-haves

  • A current, unrestricted license such as LCSW, LMSW, LPC, or RN license, issued by the state of Florida, is preferred.
  • Service delivery coordination, discharge planning or behavioral health experience in a managed care setting preferred.
  • Bilingual English-Spanish skills are very helpful.
  • Experience working with the Medicaid population is preferred.
  • LTSS or managed care organization experience is preferred.
