About the position

The Manager I Operations position at City National Bank is responsible for overseeing the Commercial and Consumer Loan Operations General Ledger Reconciliation team. This role focuses on strategic planning and management of operational functions, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, and enhancing productivity and customer satisfaction. The manager will also serve as a liaison between various departments and will be involved in project management and process improvement initiatives.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the Commercial and Consumer Loan Operations General Ledger Reconciliation team.
  • Build and manage a strong and diverse operations organization to meet business objectives.
  • Serve as the primary liaison with Core Banking, Commercial Banking Centers, and other departments.
  • Ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements, particularly BSA and USA Patriot Act.
  • Provide appropriate training to staff on risk-related controls and regulatory requirements.
  • Perform BSA/AML/OFAC reviews of client transactions as applicable.
  • Manage departmental and bank-wide projects, including formulating project plans and tracking resources.
  • Identify and implement new processes to improve workflow and efficiency.
  • Establish and communicate customer requirements and maintain service standards.
  • Participate in the budget process and review financial reports.
  • Oversee Human Resources functions, including hiring and performance appraisals.

Requirements

  • Minimum 2 years of banking general ledger experience.
  • Minimum 3 years of banking operations experience in a financial institution.
  • Minimum 3 years of banking and operations management experience.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in managing projects and/or teams.
