About the position

The Manager I Operations for Commercial Loan is responsible for overseeing the General Ledger Reconciliation team, focusing on strategic planning and compliance within the operational function. This role emphasizes building a strong operations organization, ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory requirements, and managing departmental projects. The manager will also serve as a liaison with various banking departments and vendors, ensuring effective communication and collaboration to meet business objectives.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the Commercial and Consumer Loan Operations General Ledger Reconciliation team.
  • Build and manage a strong and diverse operations organization to meet business objectives.
  • Function as primary liaison with Core Banking, Commercial Banking Centers, and other departments.
  • Ensure compliance with legal/regulatory requirements and CNB policy, focusing on BSA and USA Patriot Act.
  • Provide appropriate training to staff on risk-related controls and regulatory requirements.
  • Perform BSA/AML/OFAC reviews of client transactions as applicable.
  • Manage departmental and bank-wide projects, including project planning and resource management.
  • Identify and implement new processes to improve workflow and efficiency.
  • Establish and communicate customer requirements and maintain service standards.
  • Participate in the budget process and review financial reports.
  • Oversee Human Resources functions, including hiring and performance appraisals.
  • Ensure quality controls related to financial products and services.

Requirements

  • Minimum 2 years banking general ledger experience.
  • Minimum 3 years banking operations experience in a financial institution.
  • Minimum 3 years banking and operations management experience.
  • Minimum 2 years experience in managing projects and/or teams.
