BAE Systems Jacksonville Ship Repair is currently constructing a new 25,000 ton ship lift and associated land-based drydock facility, which is set to be operational by early 2025. In light of this expansion, our commercial vessel and yacht maritime services program is experiencing significant growth, leading to the need for a highly motivated and capable Product Marketing Manager. This position is an exciting opportunity to be part of a small, dedicated, and effective team of professionals who are all extremely motivated to contribute to the future and success of the commercial vessel and yacht maritime services program. The Product Marketing Manager will spearhead marketing efforts for the program, ensuring that growth and product diversification goals and objectives are met. The ideal candidate will possess a fundamental understanding of maritime services and products offered, including their strengths, and will be able to identify the program's target markets and audiences. With this understanding, the candidate will have the exceptional ability to shape an appropriate marketing strategy with minimal guidance and create and communicate effective marketing content in close collaboration with the program's leadership, shipyard executives, and other stakeholders. In addition to leading product marketing initiatives, the role will support BAE Systems Ship Repair with responsibilities that may include marketing, sales, proposal development, and other related tasks in support of the commercial vessel and yacht maritime services program as well as other shipyard programs. As the marketing goals and objectives for the commercial and yacht maritime services program are achieved, support efforts are expected to be shared in broader applications. Key objectives of this role include improving the program's product marketing content output, shaping product marketing campaigns that target prospective customers, aligning product marketing with corporate branding and consistent messaging, reviewing and improving existing guidance and procedural documents, building relationships with external vendors, defining product marketing budgets, and converting prospects into long-term customers through consistent communications. The position also involves defining and developing tradeshow planning and budgeting in cooperation with local and corporate stakeholders, as well as supporting program leadership and shipyard executives with communication and briefing materials and messaging.
