About the position

Under the direction of a General Manager, this position manages one or more cost centers. The incumbent is responsible for applying the APL Logistics Continuous Improvement (ACI) Model to enhance operational efficiency, improve business processes, and increase proficiency through waste elimination. This role is crucial in ensuring that the operations align with corporate values and objectives while striving for excellence in service delivery. The position requires a proactive approach to managing daily warehouse activities, ensuring that all operations run smoothly and efficiently. The responsibilities include overseeing personnel scheduling and supervision, ensuring the safe and proper utilization of space, equipment, and personnel. The incumbent will also coordinate between warehouse and office operations to maintain seamless communication and workflow. This role is pivotal in fostering a culture of teamwork, respect, integrity, and innovation within the organization, all while maintaining a strong customer focus to achieve company and personal goals.

Responsibilities

  • Manage daily activity of warehouse to include personnel scheduling and supervision.
  • Manage proper and safe utilization of space, equipment, building and personnel.
  • Coordinate between warehouse and office operations.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Logistics/Distribution or an equivalent combination of education and experience required.
  • Minimum 2 years management/supervision experience.
  • Knowledgeable in warehouse management and operations, including equipment and its proper use and maintenance.
  • Ability to manage budgets.
  • Strong decision-making skills.
