About the position

The Human Resources Manager II at Aqua Aston Hospitality, part of Marriott Vacations Worldwide, plays a crucial role in managing and overseeing all human resources activities across multiple sites. This position focuses on union relations, compensation, associate relations, compliance, and the interpretation of HR policies. The HR Manager will work closely with site managers and the SVP of Human Resources to ensure effective implementation of HR programs and processes, contributing to a positive work environment and organizational effectiveness.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and assess all human resources activities including union relations, compensation, and associate relations.
  • Provide guidance on collective bargaining agreement interpretation and consult on worker's compensation issues.
  • Perform complex quantitative and qualitative analysis for business processes and projects.
  • Develop and implement local HR policies and procedures.
  • Analyze turnover and retention data to recommend improvements to management.
  • Support site leadership in developing organizational strategies and processes.
  • Manage compensation programs and advise management on appropriate compensation actions.
  • Monitor work environment for potential union organization and maintain positive associate relations.
  • Participate in training and interventions related to employee relations and work environment issues.
  • Handle grievances and conduct investigations as necessary.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • 2-4 years of progressive HR Generalist experience, preferably in hospitality or vacation ownership.
  • PHR or SHRM-CP certification preferred.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office products, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to collaborate and resolve issues effectively.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks.

  • Bilingual language skills depending on site needs.
  • Experience in Vacation Ownership, Hospitality, or Sales and Marketing.
