About the position

Pinterest is seeking an Engineering Manager with expertise in machine learning, data mining, and recommender systems to lead a team focused on enhancing the machine learning technology stack for ads engagement models. This role involves managing and growing the engineering team, designing large-scale machine learning models, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to innovate ads engagement strategies. The position emphasizes mentorship and development of ML engineers to foster expertise in ads engagement modeling.

Responsibilities

• Manage and grow the engineering team, providing technical vision and long-term roadmap.
• Design features and build large-scale machine learning models to improve ads engagement prediction.
• Effectively collaborate and partner with several cross-functional teams to build the next generation of ads engagement models.
• Mentor and grow ML engineers to allow them to become experts in ads engagement modeling and prediction.

Requirements

• M.S or PhD degree in Computer Science, Statistics or related field.
• 6+ years of industry experience building production machine learning systems at scale, data mining, search, recommendations, and/or natural language processing.
• 1-2 years of experience managing engineering teams as a TLM or EM leading projects/teams either as TL/TLM/EM.
• Cross-functional collaborator and strong communicator.
• Experience with ads domain is a big plus.

• Base salary range of $174,175-$304,496 USD, eligible for equity.
