About the position

The Manager II, Quality Engineer - Supply Chain is responsible for overseeing quality-related activities within the supply chain, ensuring that processes meet customer and business needs. This role involves developing relationships with stakeholders, managing project execution, and leading quality improvement initiatives. The position also includes supervising associates, providing training and mentorship, and promoting continuous learning and adaptability within the team.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinates, completes, and oversees job-related activities and assignments.
  • Develops and maintains relationships with key stakeholders to support plans and initiatives.
  • Identifies and communicates goals and objectives, building accountability for results.
  • Identifies and addresses improvement opportunities, demonstrating adaptability and promoting continuous learning.
  • Provides supervision and development opportunities for associates through hiring, training, and mentoring.
  • Compiles and submits deviations to existing One Best Way playbooks.
  • Assists with the tactical deployment of the Quality Excellence WPS program methodology.
  • Manages project execution of top-Quality losses in the functional area.
  • Assists in building the capability of other area managers and associates.
  • Develops gap analysis to support WPS integration.
  • Leads Quality-related savings projects within area of responsibility.
  • Delivers expected functional area results through KPI analysis and loss elimination.
  • Leads Process Improvement tools and methods to eliminate Quality losses and deviations.
  • Promotes and supports company policies, initiatives, procedures, mission, values, and standards of ethics and integrity.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering or related field.
  • 3 years of experience in quality or process improvement or related experience.
  • Experience with AutoCAD for designing and improving layouts and warehouse operations.
  • Experience developing Power BI dashboards to track KPIs.
  • Experience analyzing large datasets to provide new processes to reduce costs and improve quality using MS Excel.
  • Experience utilizing Six Sigma and Lean principles to improve quality processes.
  • Experience in program management and execution using MS Project and Rally software.
  • Experience in vendor selection and management based on engineering and process requirements.
  • Experience establishing time labor standards using MTM and MOST Standards.
  • Experience starting up warehouses as per customer requirements.
  • Experience configuring Warehouse Management Systems such as SAP and Blue Yonder for efficiency.

  • Experience proposing changes or new processes to senior leadership and developing project plans for execution.
  • Experience establishing new automation methods in warehouses to improve productivity and quality.
