About The Position
State Fund has an opening for a Regional Underwriting Manager. The primary functions are to manage a team of underwriters in fulfilling State Fund's purpose of providing fairly priced workers' compensation insurance to Middle Market account customers. Under the direct supervision of the SVP of Regional Operations, the incumbent will manage the underwriting function of a Regional Office to achieve Budget Plan objectives in compliance with corporate and regulatory advisories, guidelines and procedures and through the effective use of available resources. The role also involves effectively managing and developing staff and ensuring employee engagement is maintained, as well as interacting across other regions, departments, and business segments to meet operational needs and enterprise objectives.
