About the position

Join Amazon's dynamic environment as a Manager II of Supply Chain Management within the Global Logistics Operations Team. In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for shaping and optimizing various facets of our operations, with a strong focus on managing the flow of goods, information, or services within the supply chain network. You will take end-to-end ownership of operations, emphasizing logistics optimization, network design, and analysis of operational efficiency. Your leadership will be crucial in developing and implementing comprehensive supply chain strategies that not only optimize operations but also reduce costs and enhance customer satisfaction. As a Manager II, you will recruit, train, and develop a high-performing team of supply chain professionals, fostering a collaborative and customer-centric culture. You will provide clear direction, set performance goals, and conduct regular performance evaluations to ensure continuous improvement and professional growth. Your analytical skills will be put to the test as you analyze data to identify opportunities for process improvements, cost savings, and operational efficiencies. You will manage relationships with suppliers, carriers, and other third-party logistics providers to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery of goods. In this role, you will implement practices and continuous improvement methodologies to streamline supply chain operations. Establishing key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics to measure the effectiveness of supply chain operations will be a critical part of your responsibilities. You will analyze data and generate reports to track performance against targets and identify areas for improvement. Presenting findings and recommendations to senior leadership will be essential, providing insights and actionable plans to drive continuous improvement across the supply chain network. Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement comprehensive supply chain strategies to optimize operations, reduce costs, and enhance customer satisfaction.
  • Analyze data to identify opportunities for process improvements, cost savings, and operational efficiencies.
  • Manage relationships with suppliers, carriers, and other third-party logistics providers to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery of goods.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of team management experience
  • 3+ years of program or project management experience
  • 3+ years of working cross functionally with tech and non-tech teams experience
  • 3+ years of delivering cross functional projects experience
  • 2+ years of supply chain experience
  • Experience defining program requirements and using data and metrics to determine improvements
  • Bachelor's or an advanced degree in supply chain, business, engineering, finance or related technical or quantitative field
  • Knowledge of Excel at an intermediate level (e.g., pivot tables & charts, multiple criteria lookups, nested logical/IF formulas, data cleansing, array formulas, etc.)

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience implementing repeatable processes and driving automation or standardization
  • Experience in data mining, data management, reporting, and SQL queries
