About the position

The Manager III, Customer/Field Service Engineer (M3) is responsible for developing and maintaining customer relationships within the semiconductor manufacturing and wafer fab equipment sector. This role involves managing and directing customer engineers, overseeing financial forecasts, and ensuring effective communication between various departments. The position requires a solid understanding of operational and service aspects of semiconductor manufacturing, along with leadership and problem-solving skills to meet business objectives.

Responsibilities

• Develops and maintains customer relationships with all relevant individuals in the district.
• Performs regular customer visits.
• Manages, coaches, and directs all customer engineers in the district.
• Responsible for salary planning, career planning, and corrective actions as necessary.
• Establishes objectives and conducts performance appraisals for employees.
• Gives formal updates to all employees regarding business, new hires, and new products.
• Initiates necessary reports for the business.
• Acts as the prime interface with Product Divisions for tech support, training, spares, and reliability.
• Monitors the CSD Award Program and the mentor program for new engineers.
• Executes escalation procedures as needed.
• Responsible for account planning with the District Sales Engineer.
• Provides support plans for system sales to CSD Management, Sales, and Field Engineering.
• Responsible for financial forecasting and cost efficiency within the district.
• Manages system installation planning, reporting, and execution.
• Oversees the RMA procedure and measures engineer effectiveness.
• Manages accuracy and updates of Customer Engineer hours tracking.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field.
• 4 - 7 years of experience in semiconductor manufacturing and wafer fab equipment.
