About the position

The Manager III, Customer/Field Service Engineer (M3) is responsible for developing and maintaining customer relationships within the semiconductor manufacturing sector, specifically focusing on wafer fab equipment. This role involves managing and directing customer engineers, ensuring effective communication and performance management, and overseeing financial forecasting and cost efficiency within the district. The position requires a solid understanding of semiconductor operations and service, along with the ability to lead and mentor a team of engineers while interfacing with various product divisions.

Responsibilities

  • Develops and maintains customer relationships with all relevant individuals in the district.
  • Performs regular customer visits to ensure satisfaction and address concerns.
  • Manages, coaches, and directs all customer engineers in the district.
  • Responsible for salary planning, career planning, and corrective actions for team members.
  • Establishes objectives and conducts performance appraisals for engineers.
  • Gives formal updates to employees regarding business, new hires, and new products.
  • Initiates necessary reports for business operations.
  • Acts as the prime interface with Product Divisions for tech support, training, and reliability.
  • Monitors the CSD Award Program and the mentor program for new engineers.
  • Executes escalation procedures as needed.
  • Responsible for account planning with the District Sales Engineer.
  • Provides support plans for system sales to management and field engineering teams.
  • Responsible for financial forecasting and cost efficiency in the district.
  • Manages system installation planning, reporting, and execution.
  • Oversees the RMA procedure and measures engineer effectiveness.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field.
  • 4 - 7 years of experience in semiconductor manufacturing and wafer fab equipment.
  • Solid understanding of operational and service aspects of semiconductor manufacturing.
