About the position

The position involves developing and maintaining customer relationships within a designated district, managing customer engineers, and ensuring effective communication and performance management. The role requires regular customer visits, financial forecasting, and accountability for system installations and cost efficiency. The individual will also be responsible for mentoring new engineers and interfacing with product divisions to support business objectives.

Responsibilities

  • Develops and maintains customer relationships with all relevant individuals in the district at all levels.
  • Performs regular customer visits.
  • Manages, coaches, and directs all customer engineers in the district.
  • Responsible for salary planning, career planning, and corrective actions where necessary.
  • Establishes objectives and conducts performance appraisals.
  • Gives formal updates to all employees regarding business, new hires, and new products.
  • Can invite guest speakers for presentations.
  • Initiates necessary reports for the business.
  • Acts as the prime interface with the Product Divisions for tech support, training, spares, and reliability.
  • Monitors the CSD Award Program with quarterly results.
  • Monitors the mentor program to ensure all new engineers have a defined mentor.
  • Executes escalation procedures as needed.
  • Responsible for account planning with the District Sales Engineer.
  • Provides support plans for system sales to CSD Management, Sales, and Field Engineering.
  • Responsible for financial forecasting for the district.
  • Ensures cost efficiency within the district, measured by financial results.
  • Responsible for system installation planning, reporting, and execution, including pre-facility and start-up meetings.
  • Manages the RMA procedure and measures engineers on their effectiveness.
  • Manages accuracy and updates of Customer Engineer hours tracking, including personal cross-checks and corrective actions.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field.
  • 4 - 7 years of work experience in a related role.
