About the position

The Manager in Development (MID) role at First Student is a short-term, transitional position aimed at providing hands-on experience and training across various departments. This role prepares candidates for future management positions by allowing them to collaborate with management, build essential leadership skills, and gain a comprehensive understanding of the business through departmental rotations.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with management to build essential leadership skills.
• Rotate through departments such as Operations, Safety, Finance, HR, Maintenance, and Sales to gain a comprehensive understanding of the business.
• Develop partnerships with location and corporate teams.
• Support daily operations and complete assigned projects.

Requirements

• High School Diploma/GED required; Bachelor's degree preferred.
• 1-2 years of supervisory experience or 3-4 years in transportation/logistics.
• Experience in retail management is a plus.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Attention to detail and active learning abilities.
• Valid driver's license.
• Flexibility to work various shifts and relocate within the business region.
