About the position

The Manager of Inseason Pricing Enablement at Old Navy is responsible for planning and operating the inseason pricing process within the Merchandise Planning business function. This role involves leading key meetings, creating reports, influencing leadership decisions, and managing analytics requests to drive brand-level business outcomes.

Responsibilities

  • Own the meeting agenda for the Promo Review and Midweek Business Review meetings, identifying discussion points and sending pre-reads.
  • Create reporting for the Promo Review and Midweek Business Review that supports inseason meetings, troubleshooting issues as needed.
  • Facilitate Promo Review and Midweek Business Review meetings to achieve objectives and outcomes.
  • Influence senior leaders on the Merchandise Planning team to make decisions that meet brand-level gross margin targets.
  • Negotiate next steps and align with cross-functional team leaders on necessary actions to drive business outcomes.
  • Recap meetings to attendees and the Merchandise Planning Leadership Team, sharing discussion points and decisions made.
  • Coordinate next steps from meetings with action owners and follow through to ensure completion.
  • Manage the intake process for inseason analytics requests and prioritize them with the Pricing Operations team leadership.
  • Utilize forecasts and results reporting to drive meeting outcomes.
  • Attend meetings to understand business context and evolving risk scenarios.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in merchandise planning roles with an undergraduate degree, or 3 years with a graduate degree, preferably in apparel retail or CPG environments.
  • Strong communication skills to convey data-driven recommendations and lead cross-functional teams.
  • Ability to follow through on commitments and demonstrate a bias for action.
  • Motivated to learn new concepts and apply them to achieve business outcomes.
  • Proficient in manipulating data sets to interpret patterns and insights.
  • Ability to manage processes independently with minimal oversight.
  • Strong understanding of retail math and yield management principles.
  • Efficient use of tools and identification of improvement opportunities.
  • Ability to anticipate and communicate risks clearly.

Nice-to-haves

  • BA/BS degree with a preferred emphasis on supply chain, business, mathematics, industrial engineering, computer science, or economics.
