About the position

The Manager of In-Season Pricing Enablement at Old Navy is responsible for planning and operating the in-season pricing process within the Merchandise Planning function. This role involves facilitating key meetings, creating reports, influencing leadership decisions, and ensuring alignment across cross-functional teams to achieve brand-level gross margin targets.

Responsibilities

  • Own the meeting agenda for the Promo Review and Midweek Business Review meetings, identifying discussion points and sending pre-reads.
  • Create reports for the Promo Review and Midweek Business Review that support in-season meetings, collaborating with the Reporting and Pricing Analytics teams.
  • Facilitate Promo Review and Midweek Business Review meetings to achieve objectives and outcomes.
  • Influence senior leaders on the Merchandise Planning team to make decisions that meet brand-level gross margin targets.
  • Negotiate next steps and align with cross-functional team leaders on necessary actions to drive business outcomes.
  • Recap meetings to attendees and the Merchandise Planning Leadership Team, sharing discussion points and decisions made.
  • Coordinate next steps from meetings and follow through with action owners to ensure completion.
  • Manage the intake process for in-season analytics requests and prioritize them with the Pricing Operations team leadership.
  • Utilize forecasts and results reporting to drive meeting outcomes.
  • Attend MF meetings to understand business context and evolving risk scenarios.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in merchandise planning roles with an undergraduate degree, or 3 years with a graduate degree, preferably in apparel retail or CPG environments.
  • Strong communication skills to convey data-driven recommendations and lead cross-functional teams.
  • Ability to follow through on commitments and demonstrate a bias for action.
  • Motivated to learn new concepts and apply them to achieve business outcomes.
  • Proficient in manipulating data sets to interpret patterns and insights.
  • Ability to manage processes independently with minimal oversight.
  • Strong understanding of retail math and yield management principles.
  • Efficient use of tools and identification of improvement opportunities.
  • Ability to anticipate and communicate risks effectively.
  • BA/BS degree required, preferably in supply chain, business, mathematics, industrial engineering, computer science, or economics.
