About the position

The Manager In Training (MIT) position is designed for associates who are on a direct training path to become General Managers. The MIT will work under the guidance of the Regional Manager and will perform General Manager duties in their absence. This role involves customer acquisition, compliance with regulations, meeting sales goals, and ensuring a safe and clean environment for both customers and associates.

Responsibilities

• Acquire and maintain customers
• Ensure compliance with all applicable federal, state, and local statutes
• Meet company standards for quality, customer service, and safety
• Achieve sales and revenue goals, implementing marketing and growth plans
• Provide a safe, clean environment for customers and associates
• Train and develop associates
• Prepare and review financial statements and store reports
• Ensure adequate availability of merchandise at all times
• Fill out paperwork for submission to corporate support
• Follow monthly marketing plans
• Implement sales and marketing programs
• Maintain company vehicles within safe operating standards
• Manage inventory and cash assets
• Prepare daily work schedules, assign tasks, evaluate employee performance, and enforce company policy
• Recruit, hire, and train staff to ensure efficient operations
• Set goals and conduct weekly staff meetings

• Proficient navigational skills with a satisfactory driving record
• Regular and consistent attendance, including nights and weekends as business dictates
• Education equivalent to an Associate or Bachelor's degree in business, accounting, marketing, or management
• Two years' experience in retail or other business emphasizing customer service, account management, or merchandising
