About the position

The Assistant Manager position at A+ Rentals Home Furnishings involves supervising and coordinating the activities of delivery and retail sales workers while assisting in the overall operation of the store. The role focuses on driving sales, managing customer accounts, and ensuring a high level of customer service in a team-oriented environment. The Assistant Manager will also be involved in inventory management, sales reporting, and staff supervision, contributing to the store's success and growth.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise and coordinate the activities of delivery and retail sales workers.
  • Assist the Store Manager in setting and achieving daily, weekly, and monthly sales goals.
  • Maintain customer privacy and adhere to collection laws.
  • Review and close agreements, confirming customer identification and payment collection.
  • Engage in sales, customer service, and collections activities.
  • Assist in marketing activities as directed by management.
  • Direct and supervise employees engaged in sales and inventory tracking.
  • Monitor sales staff performance to ensure goals are met.
  • Prepare sales and inventory reports for management.
  • Provide assistance to staff in performing difficult duties.
  • Attend company meetings to exchange product information and coordinate activities.
  • Confer with company officials to develop methods to increase sales and promote business.
  • Coordinate sales promotion activities and prepare merchandise displays.
  • Examine merchandise for correct pricing and display.
  • Assist in loading and delivering furniture, appliances, or electronics to customers.
  • Prepare Lease Agreements specifying charges and payment procedures.
  • Clean and certify merchandise to meet A+ Certified Standards.
  • Ensure the showroom floor is stocked, cleaned, and follows brand standards.
  • Drive vehicle for customer delivery, sales, collections, and marketing activities.
  • Learn duties of Store Manager.

Requirements

  • At least 21 years old.
  • Excellent leadership skills.
  • Possess a professional work ethic.
  • Ability to work a schedule varying from 9 am to 9 pm.
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
  • Background check required.
  • F Endorsement required within two weeks of hire date.
  • Ability to perform some heavy lifting.
