About the position
The Manager In Training (MIT) at Panera Bread is a full-time role designed for individuals who are friendly, motivated, and eager to grow within the hospitality industry. This position focuses on developing team members, ensuring exceptional guest experiences, and managing the overall performance of the bakery-cafe. The MIT will embody Panera's values and culture while leading a team to achieve operational goals and maintain high standards of food safety and service.
Responsibilities
- Build a culture of Warmth, Belonging, Growth, and Trust.
- Ensure extraordinary guest experiences by delighting customers with quality food and service.
- Coach and motivate the team to exceed sales, speed of service, order accuracy, and cafe health goals.
- Train the team on food safety standards and ensure compliance.
- Hire and onboard new associates, providing ongoing training and development.
- Recognize and celebrate individual and team achievements.
Requirements
- Proven ability to direct, motivate, coach, and develop others in a fast-paced environment.
- Demonstrated ability to run great shifts.
- Restaurant management experience.
- ServSafe certification (or able to pass).
- At least 18 years of age.
- Must submit to a background check.
