About the position

The Industrial Engineering Manager is a leadership role focused on managing a team while driving design, optimization, and process improvement initiatives within the organization. This position requires a hands-on approach to training and developing staff, establishing objectives, and ensuring operational efficiency in a highly regulated environment. The role is based in Roseville, CA, and necessitates on-site presence five days a week.

Responsibilities

  • Select, manage, train, and develop staff.
  • Establish objectives and assignments and provide ongoing feedback through performance reviews and development plans.
  • Stay abreast of industrial engineering principles and maintain a comprehensive understanding of diverse technical concepts.
  • Lead efforts to analyze systems and determine how to manufacture parts or products with maximum efficiency and quality.
  • Work with manufacturing, quality, and R&D engineers to identify equipment and process improvement opportunities.
  • Understand drive time study analysis and identify value/non-value-added activities to maximize workflow and space utilization.
  • Participate in headcount and space analysis to identify opportunities for improvements.
  • Own the utilization analysis process and ensure facility efficiency and workplace safety.
  • Adhere to the Company's Quality Management System (QMS) and ensure compliance with regulations and standards.
  • Perform other work-related duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in industrial, manufacturing, or mechanical engineering, or a related discipline.
  • Five plus (5+) years of relevant experience in the medical device or another highly regulated industry.
  • Three plus (3+) years of experience managing direct reports including interviewing, selecting, hiring, and training.
  • Highly proficient in AutoCAD and Excel, as well as standard office tools such as Word and PowerPoint.
  • Excellent oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
