About the position

The Manager, Inside Sales at Cox Business is responsible for leading an inside sales team to achieve sales goals while fostering a professional sales culture. This role involves hiring, training, and coaching sales staff, ensuring adherence to corporate strategies, and managing performance to optimize customer satisfaction and revenue growth. The position requires effective communication and collaboration with various departments to enhance sales efforts and customer service.

Responsibilities

  • Develops a professional sales culture and serves as a role model for the sales team.
  • Hires and builds a sales team capable of achieving sales and retention goals.
  • Coaches, develops, and manages the performance of inside sales and/or retention sales staff.
  • Serves as a subject matter expert on selected customer sales and handles escalated issues.
  • Collaborates with the CB Marketing Manager to align sales and marketing objectives.
  • Facilitates strategic planning to maximize market share and revenue.
  • Sets sales goals and metrics for inside sales representatives based on corporate goals.
  • Develops appropriate territory structures for geographical and/or vertical markets.
  • Communicates customer concerns and sales opportunities within the sales team and across systems.
  • Leads sales team meetings to coordinate efforts and communicate changes.
  • Coordinates relationships with other departments to ensure high-quality customer service.
  • Reviews and approves sales presentations and reports developed by Inside Sales Representatives.
  • Prepares regular expense reports and controls expenses while meeting revenue goals.
  • Ensures timely updates of customer information by direct reports.
  • Attends job-related training to remain current on technical information regarding products.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a related discipline and 6 years' experience in a related field.
  • 1+ year of experience in a management or lead role.
  • Previous experience with business-to-business sales.
  • 6 months work experience using Windows-based PCs and Microsoft Office.
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
  • Excellent relationship-building and sales skills, adaptability, and coaching abilities.

  • Experience in a management role leading sales results.
  • Telecommunication sales experience.
  • Call center sales supervisory or management experience.
  • Knowledge of the local market.
