About the position

The Inside Sales Manager at Cox Communications leads an assigned inside sales team to achieve sales goals for Cox Business. This role involves hiring, training, and coaching sales staff while ensuring adherence to corporate sales strategies. The position is part of a budget-driven sales organization, requiring effective people management and the ability to meet ambitious sales targets.

Responsibilities

  • Develops a professional sales culture and serves as a role model for the sales team.
  • Hires and builds a sales team capable of achieving sales and retention goals.
  • Coaches and manages the performance of inside sales and/or retention sales staff.
  • Ensures sales representatives use the IMPACT Sales approach to uncover customer needs.
  • Collaborates with the CB Marketing Manager to align sales and marketing objectives.
  • Facilitates strategic planning to maximize market share and revenue.
  • Sets sales goals and metrics for inside sales representatives based on corporate goals.
  • Develops appropriate territory structures for geographical and/or vertical markets.
  • Communicates customer concerns and sales opportunities within the sales team and across systems.
  • Leads sales team meetings to coordinate efforts and communicate changes.
  • Coordinates with other departments to ensure high-quality customer service.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a related discipline and 6 years' experience in a related field.
  • 1+ year of experience in a management or lead role.
  • Previous experience with business-to-business sales.
  • 6 months work experience using Windows-based PCs and Microsoft Office.
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
  • Excellent relationship-building and sales skills.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in a management role leading sales results.
  • Telecommunication sales experience.
  • Call center sales supervisory or management experience.
  • Knowledge of the local market.
