About the position

The Manager, Inside Sales at Axis Communications is responsible for leading and developing a team of Inside Sales Account Managers to drive sales of Axis products and solutions in the Northeast Business Area. This in-person role focuses on achieving sales goals through effective team management, coaching, and strategic execution of sales processes. The ideal candidate will be located near Chelmsford, MA, and will play a key role in ensuring high-quality customer service and operational efficiency within the sales team.

Responsibilities

• Manage, coach, recruit, and develop members of the Inside Sales team.
• Define, develop, and execute inside sales strategies and processes.
• Coach and mentor team members on sales best practices.
• Provide support for internal and external customers, acting as an escalation point.
• Oversee day-to-day activities of the Inside Sales team, ensuring timely and knowledgeable responses to calls.
• Review sales lead queues daily to ensure accurate and timely follow-up by team members.
• Manage team calendars and ensure adequate staffing for phones and chat.
• Monitor call activity for quality assurance and training purposes.
• Act as a liaison to the Business Area Director, providing feedback and concerns.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

Requirements

• College degree in a related field.
• 5+ years in inside sales experience.
• 3+ years of experience building and managing sales teams.
• Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
• Proven ability to recruit, interview, and hire qualified candidates.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office, database systems, and CRM tools (e.g., Salesforce).
• Attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines.
