About the position

The Manager, Inside Sales role at Lindblad Expeditions is responsible for leading a team of Inside Sales Representatives to drive sales growth in the Trade channel while providing exceptional service to the agency community and field sales team. This position involves strategic planning, managing multiple sales initiatives, and improving the functionality of sales tools. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership and problem-solving skills, with a focus on enhancing team performance and achieving departmental KPIs.

Responsibilities

  • Implement governance to track team performance against KPIs and establish accountability for meeting objectives.
  • Manage team performance to ensure daily productivity KPIs are consistently met.
  • Oversee the distribution of tasks and responsibilities across the Inside Sales Representatives, ensuring effective resource utilization.
  • Support the implementation and maintenance of client relationship management using Salesforce.
  • Drive and implement transformational technology to improve sales processes and procedures.
  • Establish and manage standard operating procedures and service level agreements for the Inside Sales department.
  • Serve as a primary point of contact for Disney Earmarked accounts and external partnerships related to the Inside Sales team.
  • Employ technical selling skills and product knowledge to effectively present Lindblad Expeditions products and services.
  • Assist the sales team in capturing new business opportunities and growing the agency database.
  • Lead regular training sessions to improve the team's sales and commercial acumen.
  • Communicate effectively with decision makers at all levels internally and externally.
  • Maintain detailed records of agency partner interactions and related activities using company-supported technology tools.
  • Conduct basic research for problem resolution and communicate solutions to travel partners and/or guests.
  • Attend industry events as needed.

Requirements

  • BA/BS degree or equivalent industry experience.
  • 5+ years experience in Sales, Marketing, or related field.
  • Strong project management skills.
  • Strong business and analytical acumen.
  • Knowledge of Salesforce.
  • Proficient computer skills including Microsoft PowerPoint, Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Proven ability to lead teams and significant cross-functional initiatives.
  • Ability to quickly gain knowledge of the company and the broader cruise/leisure industry.
  • Effective communication and collaboration skills.

  • Travel category experience.
  • Experience with Seaware.
  • Knowledge of general sales processes and best practices.
  • Understanding of domestic and international marketplace and consumer behavior.
  • Knowledge of revenue performance management and corporate revenue expectations.
