About the position

The Contracts Manager for International Contracts at RTX Corporation will oversee complex contracts with U.S. Government agencies, prime contractors, foreign governments, and commercial clients, focusing on the international commercial portfolio within the Ejection and Propulsion Systems business. This role involves leading negotiations, managing contract deliverables, and serving as the key interface for stakeholders, ensuring compliance and fostering positive business relationships.

Responsibilities

  • Participate in proposal reviews and brief management on risks and mitigation strategies
  • Review and assess contractual terms for acceptability, risks, and impact, using company resources as needed
  • Identify risks and develop or provide alternative contract terms to mitigate them
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, ethical practices, and applicable laws
  • Lead contract negotiations and manage contract life cycles
  • Coordinate inputs from sales, finance, legal, and service teams to structure contracts
  • Analyze contracts for compliance with policies, specifications, and requirements
  • Ensure timely communication of contract details and maintain accurate records
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for internal and external customers on contract matters
  • Proactively resolve contractual issues and ensure proper contract closure
  • Work independently with minimal direction, exercising discretion in approach and decision-making

Requirements

  • Typically requires a University Degree and minimum 8 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 5 years of experience or in absence of a degree, 12 years of relevant experience
  • U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance

  • Experience with International customers in Japan and SE Asia
  • Experience in FAR Part 12 and 15 contracting, including FAR/DFAR flow downs
  • Contracts Lead or direct engagement with external customers
  • Japanese language fluency a plus (not required)
