About the position

The Manager, International Tax - Insurance at Deloitte is responsible for providing tax compliance and consulting services to multinational clients, focusing on the tax implications of their international operations. This role involves identifying complex tax issues, overseeing tax computation projects, and leading a team of tax professionals. The position requires strategic thinking and a strong understanding of international taxation, particularly within the insurance industry.

Responsibilities

• Assisting clients with their implementation of specific international tax structures and processes
• Overseeing complex tax computation projects for clients in diverse industries
• Researching and preparing materials for consulting projects related to tax planning considerations
• Providing leadership, counseling, and career guidance for the development and motivation of the engagement team
• Supervising Senior and Tax Consultants

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience providing tax planning services or preparing and reviewing client work, preferably with a focus on international taxation
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or other business-related field
• Ability to perform job responsibilities within a hybrid work model that requires US Tax professionals to co-locate in person 2-3 days per week
• Ability to travel up to 25%, on average, based on the work you do and the clients and industries/sectors you serve
• Insurance industry experience and/or familiarity with subchapter L and U.S. international taxation of insurance companies
• One of the following active accreditations obtained: Licensed CPA, Licensed Attorney, or Enrolled Agent
