About the position

The Inventory Control Manager at W&B Service Company is responsible for overseeing inventory management processes, ensuring accuracy, and optimizing supply chain efficiency. This role involves managing stock levels, tracking inventory movements, and collaborating with various departments to meet operational needs. The manager will play a crucial role in reducing operational costs, improving inventory turnover, and maintaining optimal inventory levels to support the company's services.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain optimal inventory levels of products and materials, ensuring accurate tracking and timely replenishment to meet service requirements.
  • Perform regular physical counts of inventory, reconciling discrepancies between physical stock and system data to ensure accuracy.
  • Coordinate with purchasing and sales teams to forecast demand and maintain inventory levels aligned with business requirements.
  • Analyze inventory data, trends, and usage to make recommendations for improvements and cost-saving initiatives.
  • Oversee the proper organization of the warehouse, ensuring that all products are stored safely and efficiently to reduce the risk of damage and improve accessibility.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant industry regulations and standards related to inventory control and warehouse safety.
  • Supervise and train inventory staff, ensuring adherence to procedures and fostering a high level of accountability and performance.
  • Utilize inventory management software and ERP systems to track and report on stock levels, order status, and inventory turnover.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or related field (preferred but not required).
  • 3+ years of experience in inventory control, warehouse management, or related fields.
  • Strong understanding of inventory management systems and ERP software.
  • Excellent organizational skills with a strong attention to detail.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and other data analysis tools.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Ability to lead and motivate a team to achieve goals and improve performance.
  • Forklift certification and familiarity with warehouse safety standards (preferred).
