About the position

The Manager of Inventory Planning at Marriott Vacations Worldwide (MVW) Headquarters plays a crucial role in optimizing inventory and maximizing revenue across North America for all brands. This position involves managing the day-to-day activities of the Inventory & Revenue Management (IRM) Support Team, ensuring effective execution of strategies, and maintaining strong relationships with revenue managers and on-site teams. The role requires a high level of specialized knowledge in revenue management processes and involves significant collaboration with various stakeholders to achieve business objectives.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the day-to-day activities of the IRM Support Team.
  • Identify process efficiencies and recommend changes to maximize revenues and inventory.
  • Ensure consistent application of inventory management approaches across 10 sub-regions.
  • Provide input to Senior Leaders for change management.
  • Oversee wholesale reservations activity in support of Rental Marketing strategies.
  • Monitor and maintain a specified level of service and professionalism within the IRM support team.
  • Set individual goals and establish priorities for direct reports.
  • Complete and analyze weekly forecast processes and provide reporting to stakeholders.
  • Communicate IRM philosophies to stakeholders regarding inventory strategies.
  • Develop and manage internal key stakeholder relationships.

Requirements

  • Four-year Bachelor's degree in a related area (economics, finance, statistics, etc.) or equivalent practical experience.
  • Minimum of four years of professional management experience, with at least two years in Inventory & Revenue Management.
  • Minimum of one year leading and managing teams.
  • Experience with MVW Revenue Management processes and systems preferred.
  • Intermediate proficiency in all Microsoft Suite applications.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
