About the position

The Manager of IT Agile Enablement at FedEx is responsible for overseeing the design and development activities of a team focused on delivering large, complex strategic initiatives across multiple development teams with global impacts. This role involves leading strategic IT initiatives, managing systems and application analysis, and ensuring that capabilities are delivered within scope and on schedule. The manager will act as a thought leader in SAFe best practices and collaborate with various teams to ensure successful initiative delivery.

Responsibilities

• Manage a team of IT professionals focused on strategic initiatives.
• Lead strategic IT initiatives and provide updates to management.
• Conduct systems and application analysis and feasibility studies.
• Establish and track KPIs for Agile Release Trains.
• Collaborate with global business and IT teams to ensure initiative capabilities are delivered on schedule.
• Act as a thought leader in SAFe best practices and their implementation.
• Coordinate with architecture teams to leverage business architecture blueprints.
• Champion the use of business architecture standards and best practices for strategic initiatives.
• Partner with industry analysts and software vendors to support key initiative delivery.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, math, or a related field.
• Five years of systems development experience, including programming.
• Experience in the technical design and development of major data processing projects.
• Skill in one or more programming languages.
• Experience in client/server technology and object-oriented development.

Nice-to-haves

• Scaled Agile Framework experience and certifications.
• Release Train Engineer experience.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
