About the position

This hybrid role within the Risk Technology organization focuses on building solutions to safeguard the bank and its customers against financial crimes. The position involves executing the technology vision and strategy for BSA/AML/Risk/Compliance solutions, overseeing enterprise-level integration efforts, and collaborating with various teams to ensure compliance with laws and regulations while supporting business transactions.

Responsibilities

  • Provide leadership in delivering technical solutions that meet user needs with respect to functionality, performance, scalability, and reliability.
  • Elicit and refine business technology roadmaps, including setting priorities and understanding cross-team impacts.
  • Build and grow a high-performance team of software engineers and technical leaders through recruitment, coaching, engagement, and performance management.
  • Accountable for architecture, design, development for medium to large-sized projects and maintenance on technology solutions that interact with channels and core systems.
  • Drive process improvements using Agile best practices, continuous deployment, continuous integration, and test-driven development.
  • Establish and monitor expectations to achieve company and department goals.
  • Manage the performance, training, and evaluation of assigned staff.
  • Support budget forecasting, capital planning, and invoicing.
  • Manage critical vendor relationships and activities.
  • Serve as a technical expert and strategic leader to senior management, associates, and business units.
  • Participate in business meetings and special projects to provide insight on end-user needs.
  • Keep abreast of industry trends.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree and 6 years of experience in Applications development, applications analysis, or systems engineering OR High School Diploma or GED and 10 years of experience in Applications development, applications analysis, or systems engineering.
  • Preferred: Bachelor's Degree in CS, EE or equivalent.
  • 15+ years of experience designing, developing, and architecting enterprise systems in private and public cloud environments like OpenShift, AWS, Azure, or Google.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in domain functions/platforms around Risk, Compliance, BSA/AML, Fraud, and OFAC system integration.
  • 3+ years of people management experience leading engineering teams.
  • Experience in implementation of leading Financial Services products and solutions, and system integration projects.
  • Prior experience in managing Financial Crime/BSA/AML systems - Fraud, AML, KYC, Sanctions Platforms and delivering end-to-end solutions is preferred.
  • Experience and expertise in Java ecosystem, Spring, micro-services, RDBMS, NoSQL, JPA, Messaging, Rest, and familiarity with TDD and CICD delivery.
