About the position

The position involves planning and managing resources, finances, scope, and services within the Information Technology functional area to deliver business results. The role requires overseeing IT products, services, and solutions, ensuring they are delivered on time, within budget, and meet required functionality. The individual will manage an HR IT agile software development team, lead IT projects, and maintain relationships with clients while participating in strategy and policy development.

Responsibilities

  • Manage an HR IT agile software development team to build high-quality solutions in partnership with Product Owners and Scrum Master.
  • Lead and manage IT staff and resources in accordance with IT Business Plan.
  • Plan and manage scope, schedule, and budget for defined deliverables in accordance with IT project management standards.
  • Lead and manage IT projects and associated system integrators to deliver projects of medium to high complexity.
  • Oversee process improvement efforts and ensure adoption of standard processes and procedures that deliver sustainable top quartile cost and performance levels.
  • Establish, maintain, and enhance relationships with business and IT partners.
  • Communicate status to key stakeholders on a regular basis.
  • Maintain current business knowledge/acumen, including application of technology solutions to deliver business results.
  • Evaluate performance and provide coaching for IT personnel.
  • Participate in career development and succession planning processes.
  • Promote diversity and foster teamwork, collaboration, and a learning organization.
  • Prepare and manage budget for area of responsibility.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related discipline.
  • Typically 8 to 10 years experience or equivalent combination of education and work experience.
  • Appropriate technical skills in agile (SCRUM) software development and management, Azure DevOps, and development technologies such as Python, Informatica, Apigee, and Dell Boomi.
  • Strong knowledge of business practices and processes.
  • Experience leading and managing IT projects or subteams and knowledge of IT project management.
  • Experience leading and managing technical personnel.
  • Strong judgment and excellent analytical ability.
  • Excellent communications skills and ability to work effectively with all levels of IT and business management and with vendors.
  • Experience managing budgets for functional area of responsibility.

Nice-to-haves

  • Graduate degree.
  • Proven track record of leading high performing agile teams.
  • Experience in development or configuration of HCM applications, particularly Oracle HCM and iCIMS Talent Cloud.
  • Ability to effectively share technical information, communicate technical issues and solutions to all levels of business.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule based on department and Company needs.
  • Experience implementing process improvement initiatives and product assessments.
