About the position

The IT Manager for Logistics at L'Oréal will play a pivotal role in leading the implementation and support of the company's applications portfolio, with a strong focus on optimizing logistics functions. This includes Supply and Demand Planning and product master data management, primarily utilizing SAP solutions. The IT Manager will report directly to the Applications Director and will be responsible for ensuring that high-quality applications are delivered to meet critical business needs within the Supply Chain. This position requires collaboration with various international IT teams and business stakeholders to ensure that the applications effectively address the operational requirements of the organization. In this role, the IT Manager will oversee the entire application lifecycle, which includes design, development, testing, and deployment of applications. They will ensure that all processes adhere to the Group's quality standards and best practices. The IT Manager will also monitor application performance, identify areas for improvement, and implement necessary optimizations to enhance efficiency. Regular status updates, reports, and presentations will be provided to local stakeholders and senior management to keep them informed of progress and challenges. Additionally, the IT Manager will be responsible for building Standard Operating Processes within the Supply Chain team and creating training materials for end users. They will validate that key deliverables align with the upcoming NEO strategy, particularly the SAP Harmonization project, demonstrating a forward-thinking approach to IT solutions. Building and maintaining relationships with business users, IT colleagues, and external resources will be essential to foster teamwork and enable effective delivery of projects.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements, define project scope, and develop project plans.
  • Oversee the design, development, testing, and deployment of applications, ensuring adherence to Group quality standards and best practices.
  • Manage the application lifecycle, including upgrades, enhancements, and maintenance activities.
  • Monitor application performance, identify areas for improvement, and implement necessary optimizations.
  • Provide regular status updates, reports, and presentations to local stakeholders and senior management.
  • Build Standard Operating Processes within the Supply Chain team and training materials for the end users.
  • Validate key deliverables are aligned with upcoming NEO strategy (SAP Harmonization project), proving to be forward thinking in our IT solutions.
  • Build and maintain relationships with business users, IT colleagues and external resources to foster teamwork and enable effective delivery.

Requirements

  • Experience in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in managing application development projects and teams.
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills to collaborate with stakeholders and effectively convey technical concepts to non-technical individuals.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities.
  • Proven project management abilities, including the ability to prioritize tasks, manage resources, and meet deadlines.
  • Proficiency in programming languages such as Java, C#, or Python is a plus.

Nice-to-haves

  • In-depth knowledge and experience working with SAP applications with a strong focus on MM (Material Management) and SD (Sales and Distribution) modules.
  • Participation in one or more full-cycle SAP implementation projects overseeing the successful integration of SAP logistic modules.
  • SAP Certifications on any Logistics modules is a plus.
