About the position

The Manager, IT Project Portfolio at AbbVie is responsible for overseeing the Process Intelligence (PI) Value Delivery and Demand Management initiatives across the organization. This role focuses on managing operationalization efforts, establishing governance frameworks, and optimizing processes to enhance efficiency and effectiveness in project delivery. The ideal candidate will lead various initiatives from ideation through execution, ensuring that key performance indicators (KPIs) are tracked and reported effectively while managing a portfolio of opportunities.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the rollout of Automation Hub and establish governance frameworks.
  • Design and implement ongoing governance processes for PI Intake and Demand Management.
  • Prioritize and implement Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) for PVD delivery and cycle times.
  • Regularly monitor and report on PVD delivery/cycle time KPIs.
  • Manage the portfolio of opportunities, including PO&R, process mining, and intelligent automation.
  • Manage, confirm, and report the value potential of each opportunity in the portfolio.
  • Establish and manage guidelines for prioritizing opportunities across the PI Team.
  • Monitor and report on license usage and manage the allocation of licenses.
  • Confirm initiative funding and execute chargeback management processes.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree required; Master's degree or PhD preferred.
  • Minimum 8 years of relevant work experience in an Analytics role, or equivalent required.
  • Minimum of 7 years with Master's degree; Minimum 3 years with PhD.
  • Experienced in strategic planning and critical thinking.
  • Excellent analytical skills with the ability to track and report on KPIs.
  • Proven ability to manage a portfolio of opportunities and prioritize initiatives.

Nice-to-haves

  • 10+ years in process improvement or process consultancy experience with exposure to digital transformation programs.
  • Certifications in Lean, Six Sigma, or other process improvement methodologies.
  • Experience in the biopharmaceutical industry.
