About the position

The Nursing Program Manager at The James Cancer Network is responsible for coordinating and efficiently operating the Outreach Strategic Plan for Cancer. This role involves developing and implementing program goals, evaluating progress, and ensuring quality improvement in cancer care services. The manager will oversee patient care coordinators, advocate for patient care, and collaborate with various stakeholders to enhance the quality of oncology services provided to the community.

Responsibilities

  • Organize and direct activities and services provided by The James Cancer Network.
  • Develop and implement program goals and objectives.
  • Evaluate program progress and outcomes, identifying areas for quality improvement.
  • Contribute to budgeting and resource allocation processes.
  • Provide oversight for Patient Care Coordinators in assessing patients and their families.
  • Monitor and report safety issues related to patient care.
  • Prepare presentations and provide education to healthcare providers.
  • Advocate for appropriate patient care with insurance carriers and other entities.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in nursing.
  • Registered Nurse (RN) license.
  • 3 years of relevant experience required.
  • Oncology Nursing Certification (OCN) preferred.
  • Master's degree preferred.
  • 4-8 years of relevant experience preferred.
