Manager-Kinetic Construction

About the position

As a Manager of Kinetic Construction at Windstream, you will lead a team responsible for the installation of aerial, buried, and underground cable, ensuring safe and successful project execution. This role involves managing resources, overseeing project performance, and maintaining customer satisfaction while adhering to company policies and standards.

Responsibilities

• Conduct weekly meetings with staff to provide direction and accountability for engineering, construction, quality, schedule, and cost control.
• Ensure availability of resources with proper expertise to support project execution.
• Manage call out teams and handle after-hours issues, including emergencies and escalations.
• Visit construction job sites to validate workmanship and ensure job requests are within budget.
• Attend management calls and meetings as requested, and participate in continuous safety training.
• Work on problems and perform analysis of data requiring evaluation of various factors.
• Plan and analyze recommendations for new OSP construction including fiber to the premises (FTTP).
• Oversee wireline engineering and construction projects to ensure completion within budget.
• Work with the materials coordinator to verify materials for the job.
• Promote a culture of innovative solutions that embody accountability and efficiency.

Requirements

• College degree in Engineering or a related field.
• 5-7 years of professional level experience with 2 years of supervisory experience in Engineering and Construction.
• Valid driver's license and ability to pass DOT certification pre-hire.
• Ability to obtain a CDL license post-hire.
• Strong organizational skills to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
• Authentic and collaborative communication skills.

Nice-to-haves

• Ability to coordinate multiple projects while maintaining budgetary emphasis.
• Familiarity with CAD and Microsoft software.
• OSHA Training and NEC Training.
• Certifications within the Telecom Industry.
