About the position

The Manager - Sales Alliance role at Ally Financial is responsible for supporting Large Dealer Group accounts by providing field support and managing operations. This position serves as a relationship lead and advisor for specific Large Dealer Groups across the country, focusing on increasing volume and revenue. The role involves training and coaching strategic accounts, collaborating with partners, and influencing data-driven functions to enhance business strategies.

Responsibilities

  • Increase volume and revenue from strategic Large Dealer Group accounts.
  • Train, coach, and equip strategic accounts to enable additional sales.
  • Assist or lead Zoom and in-person training for select accounts as needed.
  • Collaborate with matrix partners to facilitate solutions for clients.
  • Work with C-suite level clients and provide solutions to garner additional business.
  • Influence analytical and data-driven functions with extensive deep dives into Ally's current strategies and recommend strategic direction.
  • Propose strategies to enhance current capabilities impacting all product life cycle stages.
  • Take ownership of all aspects of the development and implementation of assigned projects.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in related field strongly preferred.
  • 5 years in customer service or financial services industry is required, 7 years of experience is preferred.
  • At least 5 years leadership experience preferred.
  • Advanced knowledge of MS Word, Excel, Access, and PowerBI.
  • High level of written and oral communication skills.
  • Ability to filter through large quantities of data and pull out themes and significant trends.
  • Extensive financial services experience, strong analytical experience.
  • Flexible and adaptive to changing situations.
  • Strong relationship building skills and experience operating within a matrix organization.
  • Independent worker with strong time management skills.
  • Negotiation/conflict resolution skills.
  • Project management skills.
  • Initiative to discover innovative ways for continuous improvement.
  • Creative problem solver.
  • Strong presentation skills, including ability to articulate complex problems in simple manner.
