About the position

The Manager, Learning and Leadership Development (L&D) at Planned Parenthood Federation of America (PPFA) is responsible for owning and delivering a comprehensive portfolio of training programs aimed at enhancing leadership capabilities and supporting staff development throughout their employment lifecycle. This role focuses on facilitating onboarding, training sessions, and leadership development initiatives while ensuring the integration of diversity, equity, and inclusion principles within all learning content. The manager will collaborate with various teams to create a supportive and engaging learning environment that aligns with PPFA's strategic goals of attracting and retaining top talent.

Responsibilities

  • Own and deliver a portfolio of training programs outlined in PPFA's leadership development framework.
  • Facilitate onboarding and foundational level training at the national office.
  • Serve as a primary facilitator for new hire orientation and Trust for All sessions.
  • Provide event support to the Total Reward and People Ops Team as requested.
  • Assist with planning and execution of division meetings and the annual PCE division.
  • Identify needs for contracted facilitator support and notify the Associate Director.
  • Revise training content and design next phases of content as needed.
  • Audit and modify learning products available to National Office and Affiliate audiences.
  • Partner with Culture and Equity staff to integrate equity principles within learning content.
  • Leverage various learning technologies to facilitate knowledge sharing and learning.
  • Serve as a super-user for the LinkedIn Learning catalog.
  • Coordinate and deliver the annual Solidarity conference in partnership with other managers.
  • Provide project management of PPFA's ERG program in partnership with the Manager, Culture & Equity.
  • Collaborate and co-lead projects assigned to the Associate Director.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in human resources management, organizational development, instructional design, or a related field.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in Learning & Development, Organizational Development, or Human Resources, preferably in a large not-for-profit organization.
  • Experience with Learning Management Systems and comfort with new systems.
  • Demonstrated ability to achieve objectives in collaboration with other functional areas.
  • Commitment to Planned Parenthood's mission, vision, and values.
  • Experience in implementing training curricula for adult learners related to diversity, equity, and inclusion.
  • Base knowledge of core diversity concepts, including power and privilege, systems of oppression, and implicit bias.
  • Demonstrated experience working with a diverse range of people.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with training trainers in facilitating conversations rooted in identity.
  • Familiarity with cultural frameworks like 'In this together' or similar organizational cultural frameworks.
  • Knowledge of global trends in Learning & Development and Employee Engagement.
