About the position

The Manager, Licensed Product at Citizen Watch of America is responsible for the day-to-day management and coordination of product licensing. This role involves working closely with the Director of Merchandising to ensure compliance with licensed contractual obligations, manage product development processes, and maintain effective communication with external licensors. The position requires a strong understanding of product lifecycle management and the ability to track and report on product approvals and development timelines.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and coordinate product licensing activities on a day-to-day basis.
  • Maintain proof of compliance with licensed contractual obligations and support licensor audits.
  • Enter data and maintain approvals in licensor lifecycle product approval systems.
  • Provide required forms and templates to licensors to track product processes from initial approval through production.
  • Maintain parallel line plan trackers to ensure all checkpoints and deliverables are met between the company and the licensor.
  • Identify and assess issues with licensed flow processes and propose alternative solutions.
  • Assist in developing seasonal products by collaborating with designers, merchandising, and product development teams.
  • Interact with licensors for approvals and product development weekly to facilitate process flow.
  • Work with the customization team on sample development and capacity planning for in-house design.
  • Collaborate with the packaging team on packaging direction and ensure all materials are submitted to licensors.
  • Organize and circulate samples each season to licensors, sales representatives, and for marketing purposes.
  • Manage the internal product library and archives, tracking design records for internal and external purposes.
  • Maintain and manipulate weekly data and sales reports, assisting with PowerBi as needed.
  • Support the team in product and strategy presentations to internal and external partners.

Requirements

  • 3-5 years of experience in wholesale/manufacturing, including product development and merchandising.
  • Licensing experience, preferably with Disney.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Experience with Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator.
  • Strong working knowledge of Flex PLM system and Disney OPA system.
  • Detail-oriented and well-organized.
