About the position

The Manager Logistics Operations - Transload Facility is responsible for overseeing all operational activities within the transload facility, including inbound receiving, storage, inventory management, and outbound shipping of products. This role emphasizes excellent customer service and support to the Moreno Valley Distribution Center and the Store Support Center, while also focusing on continuous improvement and operational efficiency.

Responsibilities

  • Establish operational procedures for verification of incoming and outgoing shipments, handling materials, inventory management, and safety training.
  • Develop strategies to streamline processes and reduce costs.
  • Coordinate daily inbound container deliveries with drayage providers based on priority.
  • Assist the General Manager in evaluating work methods and staffing for efficient product movement.
  • Recruit, manage, and develop staff to carry out daily operations of the facility.
  • Coach and train employees through informal and formal training programs.
  • Enforce safety policies and monitor facility safety and operational metrics.
  • Receive shipment tenders and plan outbound shipments with carriers.
  • Ship and track outbound shipments and troubleshoot delivery issues.
  • Report key performance metrics to the Director of NA Logistics.
  • Ensure proper record keeping of training and safety programs.
  • Confirm FTZ compliance and prepare for Customs inspections.
  • Communicate daily tasks and variances with the Moreno Valley DC.
  • Work with HR for adherence to attendance and performance management expectations.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in General Business or related field, or equivalent experience.
  • 3-5 years of relevant experience in warehouse or distribution center operations.
  • Proven track record of delivering results and managing teams.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Working knowledge of OSHA safety rules.
  • Strong customer service skills and ability to work under pressure.
  • Proficiency with software applications and transportation systems.
  • Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite and Warehouse Management Systems (preferably Manhattan).
  • Ability to multi-task and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal skills.
