About the position

As a Logistics Manager at Bloomingdale's, you will play a pivotal role in enhancing both the colleague and customer experience. You will be responsible for fostering connectivity within your team, unlocking individual motivations, and aligning them with the company's goals. Your primary focus will be on ensuring the delivery of company standards for merchandise presentation, replenishment, and logistics, thereby enhancing productivity and customer satisfaction. In this role, you will actively participate in weekly Workload Planning meetings, contributing to the Big Day Strategy and ensuring that markdowns are completed according to company standards. You will be tasked with meeting logistics standards in Return to Vendor (RTV), Jobout, and transfer metrics, while also achieving the company’s floor-ready standards. Collaboration with the Visual and Merchandising Teams will be crucial, especially during markdowns, jobouts, and RTV processes when the workload demands it. Additionally, you will engage in proactive strategies to reduce seasonal shortages, including the development and implementation of action plans and participation in shortage meetings and awareness weeks. Your success as a Logistics Manager will be measured by your ability to effectively communicate and present information to various stakeholders, including customers and internal business partners. You will need to demonstrate strong planning and execution skills, as well as the ability to monitor and adjust workflows to meet priorities. Flexibility in your schedule is essential, as retail hours may include days, evenings, weekends, and holidays. This position requires a commitment to maintaining high standards of operational excellence while fostering a collaborative and engaging work environment.

Responsibilities

  • Actively participate in weekly Workload Planning meetings including Big Day Strategy
  • Ensure company standard markdown completion with a sales-floor-first execution mentality
  • Meet company logistics standards in Return to Vendor (RTV), Jobout, and transfer metrics
  • Achieve company floor ready standards
  • Partner with the Visual and Merchandising Teams to participate in Markdowns, Jobouts, RTV, etc. when the workload dictates
  • Participate proactively in seasonal shortage reduction strategies, including action plan development and implementation, shortage meetings, seasonal awareness weeks

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience in a related field
  • 1-2 years related experience
  • Ability to effectively communicate and present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers and all levels of internal and external business partners
  • Ability to effectively plan and execute strategies
  • Ability to monitor and maneuver workflow to achieve priorities
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule with retail hours, including day, evening, weekends, and/or holidays
