About the position

The Manager of Maintenance Technical Training at PSEG is responsible for overseeing the planning, execution, and evaluation of maintenance and technical training programs. This role involves managing training staff and ensuring compliance with regulatory standards while fostering a culture of continuous improvement. The position requires strategic collaboration with line department heads and active participation in audits and assessments to maintain accredited training programs.

Responsibilities

  • Provides direction for and supervision of the planning and execution of maintenance/technical training programs.
  • Hires, manages, and directs the training staff and consultants in the delivery of training programs.
  • Responds to the needs of line department heads to ensure programmatic training is strategic and responsive.
  • Develops and administers a zero-based budget while managing the need for outside services.
  • Provides management oversight in the field and attends station leadership meetings.
  • Supports nuclear outages in management roles as required by line counterparts.
  • Participates in NRC, INPO, station, and industry audits/assessments.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent 8 years of experience in maintenance.
  • 10 years of extensive experience working in industrial maintenance.
  • Minimum 4 years of commercial nuclear power experience, including 3 years of supervisory and/or training experience.
  • Current theoretical and practical knowledge of BWR/PWR plant systems and nuclear operations.
  • Ability to fulfill outage duties and emergency plan positions.
  • Must meet nuclear requirements for unescorted plant access.
