About the position
The Manager of Managed Services Team and Security Compliance at Thomson Reuters is responsible for overseeing a mixed onshore and offshore team that provides 24/7 monitoring and maintenance of internal and customer environments hosted in Microsoft Azure. This role involves ensuring security compliance, managing incident reporting, and collaborating with various teams to enhance service delivery and operational efficiency.
Responsibilities
- Manage a mixed onshore and offshore contractor team for 24/7 monitoring and maintenance of applications and infrastructure in Azure.
- Leverage tools like Azure Monitor and Log Analytics for service delivery tracking and reporting based on customer SLAs.
- Research and implement cloud-based monitoring, vulnerability, and security tools.
- Perform audit reviews of environment setup to ensure compliance with architectural standards and contractual obligations.
- Partner with business units to troubleshoot and resolve client-reported issues, providing ongoing communication with customers.
- Conduct testing and validation of disaster recovery (DR) and business continuity planning (BCP).
- Monitor cloud costs and provide recommendations for cost optimizations.
- Support and manage security compliance standards, including ISO 27001 and PCI SAQ-D.
- Streamline environment management through tooling and process refinement.
- Provide technical support for customer inquiries and sales engagements.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in a related field.
- 3+ years of experience managing a technology support team.
- Ability to interact professionally with diverse groups, including executives and external customers.
- Knowledge of administering complex web application environments and supporting technologies such as Java, Windows, Linux, MS SQL Server, or Oracle.
- Experience with Microsoft Azure infrastructure, including Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS) and related tools.
- Familiarity with monitoring tools like Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, and Defender.
Nice-to-haves
- Experience with Terraform or similar tools for infrastructure management.
