About the position

This leadership position at Collins Aerospace is essential for the success of the manufacturing operations team. Responsibilities

  • Coordinate staff and workflow to meet customer schedules.
  • Motivate and drive a positive teamwork ethic and environment.
  • Lead employee engagement and continuous improvement efforts.
  • Implement sustained improvements in safety, quality, production, material procurement, and cost reduction.
  • Perform daily supervisory responsibilities and project management.
  • Establish work schedules based on customer requirements and resource availability.
  • Provide leadership and direction with an emphasis on team building through effective communication and daily meetings.
  • Address issues and engage the workforce in achieving cell goals.
  • Demonstrate a commitment to Quality, Environment Health and Safety (EHS).
  • Drive quality and customer satisfaction through the CORE operating system.

Requirements

  • Typically requires a University Degree and minimum 8 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 5 years of experience, or in absence of a degree, 12 years of relevant experience.
  • 5+ years of leadership experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • U.S. Person (U.S. citizen, permanent resident, or granted refugee or asylee status).

Nice-to-haves

  • Aerospace experience.
  • Utilization of CORE principles as a driver of improvement.
  • Exposure to ERP systems, preferably SAP.
  • Experience in Lean/Six Sigma principles.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills for collaboration with cross-functional teams.
  • Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills to identify and resolve issues.
