About the position

The Manager, Market Logistics Operations is responsible for overseeing the Logistics Operations Center, ensuring efficient management of Dispatchers, Coordinators, Field Technicians, and Drivers. This role involves operational and financial reporting, maintaining safety standards, and fostering communication between sales and operations teams to enhance service delivery. The manager will also focus on team development and compliance with regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities

• Ensures the department follows all Sunbelt safety requirements at all times
• Sets the overall vision for the Market Logistics Operations Center in coordination with the District Manager
• Reviews outstanding pickup tickets and ensures Dispatchers have a plan of action to retrieve them
• Establishes rapport with Market Sales and Operations teams to maintain communication regarding service and delivery performance levels
• Ensures that the operations team effectively serves both internal and external customers, creating a culture of 'Yes'
• Continuously reviews Operations Center capacity and efficiency to make necessary adjustments
• Ensures Dispatchers review and approve Driver/Field Tech hours of service and vehicle inspection reports for regulatory compliance
• Ensures the Market Logistics Operations facility and staff are presentable
• Analyzes various reports such as monthly efficiency trends for transportation and service, daily productivity, and vehicle repair and labor utilization
• Hires, trains, mentors, and coaches team members to success
• Ensures ongoing compliance with all statutory requirements

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Business Management or a related field or equivalent work experience
• 8-10 years of Rental Industry experience, including at least 3 years in a leadership capacity
• Valid driver's license
• Strong leadership and communication skills
• Understanding of P&L and other key financial controls
• Experience in outside sales or negotiation and influencing
• High level of accountability, time management, and willingness to learn all aspects of the business
• Experience in construction or industrial markets preferred
