About the position

The Manager, Market Risk at Fidelity Investments is responsible for safeguarding the firm's capital and reputation through effective risk management practices. This role involves routine market risk analysis, detecting deviations, and resolving issues across various lines of business while ensuring outstanding customer service. The position requires collaboration with internal and external partners to articulate risk policies and procedures, contributing to the overall risk management strategy of the firm.

Responsibilities

• Analyze and escalate margin and cash accounts triggered by trading and market volatility.
• Ensure customer accounts maintain sufficient capital to withstand market conditions.
• Interact directly with all lines of business on account escalations.
• Monitor Correspondent Proprietary trading and allocation accounts.
• Evaluate real-time exception requests across the Market Access program.
• Engage various risk groups to facilitate discussions on Market Risk policy.
• Identify opportunities to improve existing risk reporting and develop new key risk indicators.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Finance or related field.
• 5+ years of business experience in a large-scale financial services environment.
• Series 7 certification preferred.
• Knowledge of the brokerage business, operations, and accounting.
• Deep understanding of margin and option strategies.
• Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
• Strong investigative, technical, and analytical skills.
