About the position

The Manager of Marketing Analytics and Reporting is responsible for designing and implementing data visualization and reporting solutions that provide actionable insights to support business decisions. This hybrid role requires collaboration with various teams to enhance data usability and aesthetics, while also focusing on continuous improvement in analytics processes. The position involves translating business needs into technical specifications and developing tools and training programs for non-analytical users.

Responsibilities

  • Understand and articulate the business case of business questions and the estimated value being delivered.
  • Design dashboards and analyses to be performed, and select appropriate visualization and analytics tools.
  • Identify trends and patterns to address business questions and provide insights through reporting and data visualization techniques.
  • Work with data and analytics professionals to optimize, refine, automate, and scale analysis into repeatable analytics solutions.
  • Build various reporting dashboards using data extraction, cleaning, and visualization techniques.
  • Select, configure, and implement analytics solutions for consistency and repeatability.
  • Research and apply continuous improvement in data visualization by identifying trends and patterns.
  • Translate business needs to technical specifications and evaluate existing data visualization systems for improvement.
  • Develop data visualizations of large amounts of data for intuitive presentation to decision makers.
  • Document data flow, systems, and processes to improve business/group processes.
  • Develop tools and deliver training programs for reporting tools and self-serve analytics for non-analytical end users.

Requirements

  • Typically between 5 - 7 years of relevant experience in marketing analytics or a related field.
  • Post-secondary degree in a related field of study or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Deep knowledge and technical proficiency gained through extensive education and business experience.
  • Foundational proficiency in technical design optimization, decision making, and systems thinking.
  • Intermediate proficiency in data visualization, data storytelling, data mining, illustration, creative thinking, problem solving, verbal and written communication skills, collaboration, and analytical skills.
  • Advanced proficiency in insights design, insights development, and reporting.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with SAS, Power BI, SQL, and Python (optional).
