About the position

The Manager, Marketing Content and Strategy at the University of Nebraska is responsible for leading the development and execution of omni-channel marketing strategies aimed at increasing engagement and donation revenue. This role involves managing a team of student marketers, analyzing marketing performance, and optimizing content delivery across various channels to enhance the donor experience and support fundraising efforts.

Responsibilities

  • Ideate, implement, execute, and manage strategic omnichannel marketing campaigns to increase engagement and revenue.
  • Plan, develop, and implement simultaneous constituent cadences aimed at converting audiences to donors through various channels.
  • Manage a team of student marketers to execute content deliverables, including writing articles, scripting, and designing graphics.
  • Analyze cadence and content performance through key metrics like engagement rates and conversion rates.
  • Audit the web experience to enhance the constituent journey and optimize fundraising revenue.
  • Assist in the creation and distribution of digital and traditional fundraising materials.
  • Develop audience-centric messaging and ensure marketing materials are on-brand and optimized for user experience.
  • Leverage data insights to influence audience-centric fundraising initiatives.
  • Support Student Engagement Specialists in implementing cadences in the CRM platform.
  • Provide up-to-date resources to Student Engagement Specialists.

Requirements

  • 2-3 years' experience in digital marketing roles.
  • Bachelor's degree in marketing, advertising, public relations, communications, or a related field.
  • Demonstrated breadth of digital marketing knowledge with a strategic view on impact-related content.
  • Strong interpersonal skills to gain consensus and negotiate deadlines.
  • Excellent written communication, proofreading, and editing skills.
  • Strong digital marketing experience, including email and web hosting platforms.
  • Experience in building and integrating marketing teams and programs.
  • Strong background in creative thinking and execution, with storytelling capabilities.
  • Proficient in MS Office and Adobe Creative Suite.
  • Experience with marketing software like Google Analytics and Google Adwords.
  • Excellent time and project management skills with attention to detail.
